Hello, my name is Jean and I created Pawsitive Pet Services to fulfill what my husband and I needed and wanted for ourselves as busy pet owners. We wanted convenient and quality pet care and services for our pets along with professional, courteous, and friendly customer service.

I was born and raised in Sioux City and have always had a relentless work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for animals, I had my Aha! moment after working another long day at my job.  I came home to my two huskies who were eagerly awaiting their time to get outside and run. Regretting that I didn't make arrangements for them to exercise, the business idea was born.

Every loving pet owner is concerned about the wellbeing of their pets who are valued members of the family. This propelled me to create the pet services company which specializes in convenience through the full range of quality pet services geared for the busy owner and their pets.

Qualified for Care

At Pawsitive Pet Services, we promise to provide convenient, healthy, and quality pet care. Our staff is professionally trained and certified as Pet Care Technicians through the International Boarding & Pet Services Association. With this certification, employees obtain a basic understanding of the anatomy and physiology of dogs and cats, how to visually assess the pet, basic behavior, safety and handling techniques, environment, and nutrition.

Trained in Pet First Aid

Because we want you to have a peace of mind when we’re with your pets, we also require every employee to be certified annually in dog and cat first aid. This training covers how to provide first aid, how to best give care for common emergencies, understanding of the pet’s vital signs, breathing and cardiac emergencies, wounds and bleeding, seizures, and preventative care.
