Highly Trained & Qualified Pet Care Team

Pawsitive Pet Services promises to provide convenient, safe, healthy, and quality pet care through our highly trained, skilled, and knowledgeable team members.

As part of our attention to safety, every member of our team is professionally trained and certified as a Pet Care Expert through the Pet Industry Experts; The Dog Gurus and their professional training programs. With their expert guidance and training, employees obtain an in-depth understanding of the anatomy and physiology of dogs and cats, how to visually assess the pet, how to read and understand dog behaviors, safety and handling techniques, environment, nutrition, how to look for signs and symptoms of various diseases, first aid, including cleaning, disinfecting, and bandaging minor injuries, and identifying health conditions, such as bloat and heat stress.

Trained in Pet First Aid

At Pawsitive, safety is our top priority and we want you to have a peace of mind when your pet is in our care.

We have annual training on dog and cat first aid and CPR to keep all staff members up to date with the safest and most efficient practices. This training covers how to provide first aid to minor injuries, the best options on care for common emergencies, understanding a pet’s vital signs, breathing and cardiac emergencies, seizures, and preventative care.

The Facility

Pawsitive’s facility was the old Theo’s Steak House, which was remodeled and a two story boarding building and outdoor exercise yard added in 2019. The outdoor exercise yards have over 10,000 square feet of space and the indoor exercise areas are three rooms totaling over 2,000 square feet of space. Add in boarding areas for dogs and cats, grooming and bathing rooms, and reception area, it gives the Pawsitive facility more than adequate room to take exceptional care of your pet with over 15,000 square feet!

Pawsitive’s heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system in the boarding areas, is above the pet industry standard when it comes to state of the art ventilation system designed specifically for pet facilities. The pet specific system filters fresh air in every ten minutes, performing six air changes per hour which greatly aids in preventing air borne diseases, germs and odors. Proper ventilation for cats and dogs is vitally important as it helps prevent disease, germs and odors by ensuring fresh air circulation.
